Vicomtech is an applied research centre for Interactive Computer Graphics and Multimedia, located in San Sebastian, Spain.
The role of Vicomtech in the market is to supply society with technology by transfer of primary research to industry. This is done through collaborative R&D projects. Vicomtech’s main research lines lay in the fields of computer vision, computer graphics and interaction; technologies which Vicomtech applies in multiple sectors. The main research group that will contribute to the execution of the project is the ITS and Engineering Department, which is currently working in the development of advanced computer vision and image analysis solutions, and semantic analysis of multimedia content solutions.
The ISO 9001:2000 and UNE 166002:2014 standards assure that the work developed in the centre is tested with a quality assurance system that accomplishes the certificate standards proposed and recognised worldwide by the ISO organisation.
Vicomtech will offer computer vision technologies for environmental understanding and evasive manoeuvring calculation in real time to the TransSec project. Vicomtech’s previous experience, scientific excellence and the proprietary computer vision library will enable rapid prototyping and will reduce development time for computer vision-related modules and integration.
